The PCR Month also serves as an opportunity to recognize and appreciate community participation in crime prevention efforts and public safety programs facilitated by the PNP.
National Police Commission - Cordillera Regional Director Editha Puddoc said this month is an "opportune time to strengthen community participation and crime prevention and also forges stronger partnership between the community and our police".
Puddoc added that this year's theme highlights the importance of unity. Unity is mostly expected from our partner stakeholders because the PNP's ability to respond effectively greatly depends on the cooperation of our community members and continuing partnership with the local government units, she said.
Meanwhile, Department of Agriculture - Cordillera Regional Director Cameron Odsey, the guest of honor and speaker during the event, congratulated the PNP for all their efforts in maintaining peace and order.
"I congratulate PNP for all the efforts they have done towards this end. We look forward to the continued support and cooperation as we go on helping our people attain a better quality of life," Odsey said.
During the kick off ceremony, PRO-Cor also recognized seven deserving PNP uniformed and one non-uniformed personnel, and the winners of the recent PRO-Cor Marksmanship Enhancement and Fun Shoot for a Cause.
