Sen. JV Ejercito leads the distribution of assistance to oil-spill affected individuals

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) -- Senator Joseph Victor “JV” G. Ejercito visited the province of Oriental Mindoro to lead the distribution of various assistance to oil-spill affected individuals in the municipalities of Naujan, Pola, and City of Calapan on July 11, 2023.

Through continuous coordination of the local government to the office of Sen. Ejercito, the senator personally visited the province in order to evaluate and assess the status of oil spill, as well as the livelihood of the people.

The senator first visited the municipality of Pola, wherein Pola Mayor Jennifer Cruz assisted in evaluating the remnants of oil-spill that is still present in the shores of the municipality.

After the assessment, the senator led the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) orientation to the beneficiaries of Pola and Naujan together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Public Employment Services Office.

Moreover, Governor Humerlito ‘Bonz’ Dolor welcomed the senator in the City of Calapan together with Calapan City Mayor Marilou Morillo to lead the financial distribution to the beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), a program under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
