BAGUIO CITY (PIA) -- Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card (LC) Plus holders can now enjoy discounts on various services at the Benguet Laboratories.

This after the Pag-IBIG Fund inked a memorandum of agreement with Benguet Corp Laboratories, Inc. as its  newest LC Plus partner during the Kapihan forum   on   July 12, 2023.

Benguet Laboratories Clinic Manager Melinda Cabreros said that with the signing of the agreement, Pag-IBIG LC Plus holders can now avail  of 10 percent  discount on laboratory, X-ray, drug test, and COVID-19 test, and 5% discount on Ultrasound and 2D Echo in their laboratories located at the SM Cyber Baguio Annex Building and at the Baguio Center Mall.

The Benguet Laboratories is the 15th local Pag-IBIG Fund LC Plus partner. The others are   Epiphany Christian, Le Chef, Kubong Sawali, TCP Enterprises, Inc., Curamed Pharmacy, Cordillera Hospital of the Divine Grace, Samson Dental Clinic, URR Allied Laboratory Clinic, Citylight Hotel, The Manor Camp John Hay, The Rusty Nail Inn and Cage, The Forest Lodge, and Tree Top Adventure.

Pag-IBIG Vice President for Member Services Operations – Luzon Group Lilia M. Anguluan who led the MOA signing, explained that a  LC Plus is a transaction card, a discount card, a reward card, and a disbursement card that grants discounts to holders when dining at partner restaurants, in availing medical care at partner hospitals including diagnostic centers, or purchasing goods at partner stores.

To avail of said discounts, Pag-IBIG members must purchase a Loyalty Card Plus for only Php125.00 at any Pag-IBIG Fund branch office. Just accomplish the enrollment form and bring one valid ID,  Anguluan said.

In order to become a partner merchant of Pag-IBIG LC Plus, business owners or employers have to undergo an evaluation where merchants with a total score of at least 60%  shall be considered for accreditation.  Scores are based on the   number of outlets, municipality/city presence, number of years in business, product and service relevance, and discount value compared to the actual product or services' listed prices. (JDP/MAWC-PIA-CAR)
