The Department of Agriculture (DA) has launched the KADIWA Program in Nueva Vizcaya to help farmers, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and consumers in providing and accessing affordable and quality food products.
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Department of Agriculture (DA) has launched the KADIWA Program in the province to help farmers, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and consumers in providing and accessing affordable and quality food products.
Arsenio Apostol, DA Nueva Vizcaya Experimental Station (NVES) said the KADIWA Program will benefit farmers cooperatives and SMEs as their products will be directly sold to consumers at an affordable prices.
The KADIWA Program was formally opened at the provincial capitol in this town with the officials of the DA, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the provincial government, among others.
Agricultural products such as rice, vegetables and fruits including products of the province’s SMEs such as coffee, buko pie, among others were sold to government workers and ordinary villagers.
Board Member Elma Pinao-an Lejao said that she will push for the crafting of an ordinance localizing the KADIWA Program of President Ferdinand Marcos,Jr..
“By localizing this national program, more Novo Vizcayanos will benefit from the KADIWA Program and I am asking the support of our fellow members of the Sangguniang Panlalalwigan (SP) for their support,” she said. (BME/PIA NVizcaya)
