QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – A mega health center and a shelter assistance facility are now set to be built in the city of Navotas after receiving a 728 square-meter lot area from the National Housing Authority (NHA) for the establishment of key local infrastructure projects.
NHA General Manager Joeben Tai and Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco signed a deed of donation and acceptance last Monday, July 10, to formalize the transfer of property that is located at Ayungin St. in Kapitbahayan, Barangay North Bay Boulevard South (NBBS) Kaunlaran.

“Isa lamang ito sa mga hakbang na ating ginagawa sa tuloy-tuloy nating pag-aasikaso para mapataas pa ang antas ng pangangalaga sa kalusugan at kapakanan ng bawat Navoteño (This is just one of the steps that we are making towards uplifting the state of healthcare and well-being for each Navoteño),” said Mayor John Rey.
Once completed, residents can avail of various medical services in the said facility from laboratory, dental, and birthing.
On the other hand, the shelter assistance facility or ‘Bahay Kalinga’ will seek to provide a temporary home for those elderly and women who were abandoned by their families as well as children survivors of abuse.
“Amid our limited resources, especially in terms of land, we will always find ways to cater to the needs of every Navoteño and promote their well-being,” Tiangco added. (NAVOTAS PIO/PIA-NCR)
