Antique stages live viewing for SONA 2023

SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Antique will stage a live viewing event for the 2nd State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at the Evelio B. Javier (EBJ) Freedom Park here today, July 24.

Under the leadership of Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao, the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) office in partnership with the Antique Police Provincial Office (APPO) and other agencies, organized the event as a venue for the Antiqueños to collectively listen to the President deliver his accomplishments and priority thrust for the remaining years of his administration.

“This will be a historic event for the province as this is the first time that the live viewing for the SONA will be held at the EBJ Freedom Park,” said POPs Consultant Margie L. Gadian.

In support of this endeavor, the APPO will bring the PNP local band to the park for a jamming session at 2:30 p.m. while the crowd will start to gather at the venue for the SONA to start at about 4:00 p.m. 

Antique PNP Deputy Provincial Director for Operations Police Lieutenant Colonel Angelo C. Pueblos said that the group of former rebels and drug surrenderers have also committed to join the event.

The Department of Education- Antique Division Office provided the led wall while the Provincial Information Office and the General Services Office will attend to the technical needs of the event including the hosting of the program.

Likewise, Provincial Government of Antique Human Resource Management Officer Rene Oberio, during the program 

this morning, enjoined the government employees and all the clients transacting with the Capitol to join the activity this afternoon. (AGP/PSM/PIA Antique)
