BARMM lawmaker’s group spotlights women as partners of community dev’t

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The Office of Member of Parliament (MP) Diamila Disimban-Ramos has firmly conveyed that women are more than basic recipients of any aid but allies in realizing the pursuit of advancing communities in the Bangsamoro region, particularly those areas which have been devastated by past conflicts.

“You [women] are not merely beneficiaries of programs. You are our important partners in the development of our communities. You are the embodiment of resilience, the driving force of change, and the vanguards of untapped potential,” said Office of MP Diamila Disimban-Ramos Chief of Staff Saidamen Mambayao.

Mambayao explained that while it was true that they have been supporting women in conflict-affected areas through providing livelihood opportunities, he stated that they opted to embark on this, believing that this could be a key to catalyzing changes, unlocking boundless opportunities, and propelling their beloved Bangsamoro region towards economic prosperity.

Seeing the positive outcome of this effort, he mentioned that they would be intending to expand their program to go far beyond equipping their lady entrepreneurs with knowledge and skills alone. This is through recognizing the vital importance of bridging the gap and extending the necessary financial support to transform their visionary ideas into tangible ventures.

“With our program, we have empowered these exceptional women with not only the tools to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape but also the means to overcome the financial barriers that stand in their way,” said Mambayao.

The chief of staff further expressed his confidence that with the support they delivered, covered women in this province would be able to acquire the necessary resources, procure vital equipment, access raw materials, develop effective marketing strategies, and create sustainable enterprises which would uplift their lives and contribute to the overall development of our society.

Mambayao, however, stressed that this access to finance would be more than a mere transaction as it would be the gateway to opportunity, empowering individuals to invest in their aspirations, igniting innovation, and laying the foundation for lasting economic growth within the target community.

This, if their recipients would, accordingly, treat this moment as an inspiration that would push them to be partners in community development, despite all the obstacles along the way.

“We want you to embrace this opportunity with open arms, let it fuel your passion, and propel you towards unparalleled success,” said Mambayao. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
