SAN JUAN CITY (PIA) --The Department of Education is currently building new classrooms nationwide that are not only climate-ready, disaster-proof, but also hybrid and high-tech learning ready designed to adapt into blended learning, aside from the traditional face-to-face learning mode.

In his report to the nation on Monday, President Marcos said that aside from addressing the shortage of classrooms they are ensuring that those are future ready.

Aside from new constructions, schools and facilities are being retrofitted to become ready for the future—ready for hybrid and high-tech learning, and also climate-ready and disaster-proof," President Marcos said.

The President said that building hybrid learning-ready classrooms ia among the lessons learned from the previous pandemic where the conduct of face-to-face classes is not advisable because of the spread of COVID-19 virus.

Taking to heart the lessons of the pandemic, alternative delivery modes and blended learning methodologies have been adopted to ensure unhampered learning," President Marcos ssaid. (PIA-NCR)
