More than 64K pass career service exams

ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced that there are a total of more than 64,000 examinees nationwide who have passed the Career Service Professional and Sub-Professional Examinations, both administered on March 26 this year.

For Professional level, passers summed up to 54,478 or 16.42 % out of 331,816 examinees, while for SubProfessional level, passers account to 9,942, representing 19.97% of the 49,791 examinees.

In a press release, the CSC reported that the National Capital Region (NCR) got the highest passing rate in terms of regional performance both for professional level at 21.39% or 13,544 out of 63,313 examinees, and SubProfessional level at 23.34% or 3,188 out of 13,442 takers.

Western Visayas examinee LM Tricia T. De La Cruz topped the SubProfessional level with 90.24% rating while Glenn C. Gonzales from NCR topped the Professional level with a rating of 92.63%.

The CSC said that the passers will be conferred the corresponding civil service eligibilities wherein Professional Eligibility shall be appropriate for permanent appointment to both first level (clerical) and second level (technical) positions in the career service, which do not involve practice of profession and are not covered by the Bar, board, and other laws.


Meanwhile, SubProfessional Eligibility shall be suitable to first level positions only.

The CSC reminds that to be appointed in the government, the education, experience, training, and other competency requirements of the positions must also be met.

The Commission further declared that the Certifications of Eligibility are already available since July 11, 2023.

With this, passers are advised to verify first with the CSC Regional/Field Office concerned the availability of, and the requirement and procedure in claiming their respective eligibility certificates.

Meanwhile, examinees, both passed and failed, may generate their individual rating through the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System, which can also be accessed via CSC website: www.csc.gov.ph.

The CSC also warns the public against any postings in any other websites or social media links that are not affiliated with, or are engaged in the unauthorized use of the name of the CSC. (AAL/AGP/PIA 6 with reports from the Civil Service Commission)
