DTI  trains farm school students on entrepreneurship 

RIZAL, Kalinga(PIA) - - The Department of Trade and Industry through the Rizal Negosyo Center (NC) trained students from three farm schools in  this municipality  on entrepreneurship thru  Entre- farm Game.

Students from Green Valley Farm School, FPJ Integrated Farm School and DBM Farm School   participated   in the Entre-farm   game to guide them in becoming more enterprising.

The  Entre-farm  is an entrepreneurship development intervention for the agri-based sector specifically teaching farmers to view farming as a business or enterprise. It revolves around the playing of the game  that  uses  learning-by-doing techniques, highlighting entrepreneurial competencies, proactive life management, negotiation skills, and managerial acumen  that will  eventually enhances the farmers’ entrepreneurial skills.

The game is inspired by the Competency-based Economies through Formation of Entrepreneurs that cites experience as the best teacher.

Meanwhile, Commission on Higher Education-UniFAST Cordillera reported that 25 mentees completed a Youth Entrepreneurship Program  -Project MARITES (Mobilizing Available Resources through Inclusive Training on Entrepreneurship of Student-grantees) training. The mentees presented their outstanding and creative business ideas to the panelists during the Business Pitch Competition as their final output.
 
Three exceptional mentees were proclaimed winners: Shalom W. Tolentino (Classic Lemonade Station) garnered first place, while Ashley Jade Camaddo (AJ's Homestay) and Irish Madarang (Heirloom Republic) were declared second and third placers, respectively.

Now on its second year of implementation,  Project MARITES  is an inclusive entrepreneurship training launched by the CHED-CAR in partnership with the DTI-CAR in May 2022. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
