For his part, First Lieutenant Nelson Rabosa of the 86th Infantry–Highlander Battalion 5th ID of the Philippine Army, encouraged the community members to sustain the insurgency-free status of the province by being vigilant and reminded everyone that violence is not a key to progress but unity and cooperation.
As their response, Punong Barangay Rogelio T. Tuppil of Brgy. Villa Hermoza Sur, Jaime V. Munar of Brgy. Ysmael, and Gaspar G. Cablinan of Brgy. San Martin expressed their gratitude on behalf of their constituents. They also extended their appreciation to the different agencies for their commitment to the welfare and upliftment of the people in Maddela.
The activity was also graced by DILG Quirino personnel headed by Provincial Director Atty. Salvacion Z. Baccay, personnel of the 86th Infantry – Highlander Battalion 5th ID of the Philippine Army, municipal and barangay LGU functionaries as well as the project beneficiaries.
The SGLGIF, formerly known as Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) is an incentive given in the form of a financial grant to eligible LGUs under the Local Governance Performance Management Program (LGPMP) of the DILG while the LGSF-SBDP is the Government’s priority program to usher development and deliver basic services to conflict-affected barangays that lagged due to the terror caused by the CPP-NPA Terrorists.
