DSWD chief visits evacuees in Aparri town

LAL-LO, Cagayan (PIA) — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian, together with the DSWD Field Office officials headed by Regional Director Lucia S. Alan, has recently distributed food and non-food items to a total of 264 evacuees affected by super typhoon Egay in Aparri, Cagayan.

“The president's instruction is to make sure that you get back on your feet soon,” Gatchalian said.

“Do not worry, the national government is ready to help and funds have already been allocated,” he said.

Meanwhile, the DSWD also distributed a financial assistance amounting to P3,000 through their Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program. (MJPT/PIA 2)
