BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - President Ferdinand Marcos,Jr’s ‘Kadiwa ng Pangulo’ Project or Katuwang sa Diwa at Gawa para sa Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita has brought in sales for the participating farmer cooperatives, Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and grocery stores, among others in the province.
Marietta Salviejo, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial director, said the ‘Kadiwa ng Pangulo’ program, which was launched in July 17 at the Provincial Capitol, has generated sales amounting to P177,546.
“The Bayanihan spirit of the Novo Vizcayanos was again reignited as the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Program Launch in the province of Nueva Vizcaya was concluded successfully,” she said.
Salviejo said the day-long event which was participated in by 11 exhibitors including the National Food Authority (NFA) was part of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Project nationwide launching.
She also expressed elation over the commitment of provincial officials to localize the Kadiwa Project through a local ordinance.
The Kadiwa ng Pangulo was initiated to bring fresh produce and other local products closer to the consumers at a lower price and also serve as a market avenue or platform for local producers. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
