POLA, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the distribution of 149 starter tool kits and cash incentives to 30 beneficiaries during the caravan of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Mimaropa and TESDA Oriental Mindoro held at Pola Central School on August 1, 2023.
Marcos visited the booths of the TESDA scholars of barista, bartending, food processing, bread and pastry production, and handicraft making from various TESDA accredited schools based in the province.

The Director General and Secretary of TESDA, Suharto T. Mangudadatu, also attended the said activity and shared that the program will also be launched in various barangays in the next few days which will give barangay-residents the opportunity to study for free in courses included in the National Certificates (NC) 1 and 2 of the agency.
Mangudadatu expressed his gratitude to the First Lady for her support to the province and also to the Filipino communities especially in far-flung areas in the country.
“Tuwing Martes ng bawat linggo ay inilaan ng ating First Lady upang tugunan kung ang serbisyo ng gobyerno ay nakakarating sa taongbayan. Dahil hangad ni President Bongbong Marcos na sama-sama tayong babangon at natutugunan,” said Mangudadatu.
Moreover, Mangudadatu also shared that the First Lady also coordinates with private sectors to deliver the government’s services to the people. “Nais ni First Lady na bisitahin ang nasa 800 municipalities sa loob ng anim na taong panunugkulan ni PBBM. Bawat isa ay nagbibigay ng ceremonial program para madama ng taongbayan kung ano nga ba ang direksyon ng administrasyon ngayon.” (GATS/PIA MIMAROPA)
