QUEZON CITY, (PIA) –The Department of Health (DOH) supports the construction of super health centers nationwide as a way of accessing healthcare across the country.
On Wednesday (August 2), Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Teodoro J. Herbosa joined the groundbreaking ceremony of another Super Health Center at Maypajo, Caloocan City.
The establishment of Super Health Centers in different parts of the country is the advocacy of the Senate Committee on Health Chairman, Senator Christopher Lawrence Go, which aims to make government medical services more accessible to Filipinos.
Aside from Secretary Herbosa, Senator Bong Go, Caloocan 1st District Representative Oscar "Oca" G. Malapitan, 2nd District Representative Mary Mitzi Lim Cajayon-Uy, Caloocan City Mayor Dale Malapitan, and Vice Mayor Karina Teh also attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
"The President's marching order is to make sure there are health services for every Filipino by establishing a super health center where 80–90% of diseases may be attended to,” Herbosa said.
