20 MSMEs get livelihood kits from DTI

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 20 Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) from the towns of San Mariano and Reina Mercedes were the latest beneficiaries of the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Livelihood Seeding Program - Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (LSP-PPG) program.

The awarding of livelihood kits was led by OIC DTI-Isabela Provincial Director Elmer Agorto on July 28, 2023.

San Mariano Municipal Administrator Monico Aggabao expressed his deepest gratitude for providing the MSMEs livelihood opportunities.

He also said Mayor Edgar Go is deeply honored to receive and distribute the livelihood kits to the chosen beneficiaries.

On the part of Reina Mercedes, Municipal Information Officer Gavino Apostol, who represented Mayor Ma. Lourdes Saguban, conveyed the unwavering support of the LGU to DTI's program and lauded the success of the government's livelihood program.

He said the LSP-PPG is instrumental in driving the resurgence of local economy on a micro-scale and in the country on a macro level.

Meanwhile, OIC-PD Elmer A. Agorto assured the MSMEs in all localities of the province that the agency will continue its programs and projects that will benefit the local entrepreneurs not only on the provision of livelihood kits but also in other programs like capacity building trainings and entrepreneurial learning sessions.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Isabela awards livelihood kits to MSMEs in the towns of San Mariano and Reina Mercedes respectively thorugh its Livelihood Seeding Program - Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (LSP-PPG) program.

Agorto said the LSP-PPG program of DTI will continue in other parts of the province as he said that more MSMEs will be beneficiaries of the program to help them rebound from loses after the pandemic. (OTB/MGE/PIA Isabela)
