BESAO, Mountain Province(PIA) -- The Philippine National Police(PNP) in Mountain Province, after helping in the clearing operations and delivering government relief items to typhoon victims, do their own relief operation.
A composite team from the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office, Besao Municipal Police Station(MPS) and 2nd Mountain Province Provincial Mobile Force Company delivered on August 3 relief goods to 46 evacuees during the onslaught of super typhoon Egay that battered Northern Luzon in this town.
The recipients include 15 individuals in barangay Banguitan, seven in Besao East, 22 in Catengan and two in Gueday.

Besao MPS OIC PCpt Janice T. Pating said the the relief goods were taken from the PNP’s Help and Food Bank, and from the Police Regional Office-Cordillera.
The Food Bank is established in all PNP offices with the support of other agencies and stakeholders so that we would be able to immediately help affected families or barangays in times of typhoons or calamities, ” she said.
The activity showed the continuous grassroots level services of the PNP and their aim in developing closer interaction and collaboration within the community, and other partners in the promotion of peace and order. It was also a fitting culmination activity of the celebration of the Police Community Relations Month.(JDP/CVBT-PIA CAR, Mt. Province)
