CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Chairperson of the Cagayan Valley Regional Development Council led recently the launching of the 2023 - 2028 Cagayan Valley Regional Development Plan (CVRDP) held at the Capitol Amphitheater.
Isabela Governor Rodolfo Albano III, RDC chair, was accompanied by NEDA Assistant Secretary for Regional Development Group Greg Pineda and Presidential Assistant for Northern Luzon Assistant Secretary Ana Carmela Remigio.
Albano said the CVRDP will serve as a guide in all developmental efforts in the region.
He said it focuses on strategies and interventions towards the achievement of the region’s development vision and the contribution on the country’s overall development.
“Our goals and targets are underlined in the plan so we are expected to work together in one direction that is to make our region a gateway to East Asia, our economy driven by agro-industry like manufacturing, Information Technology-Based industries, adventure and nature-tourism, and a people live in peace and prosperity,” Albano said.

Albano is hoping that the cooperation of all sectors in the province remain cohesive and aggressive for the initiative as that laid out plan strategies will be translated into programs and activities geared towards the development of the region.
He also lauded the local government’s important role and cooperation in implementing the strategies as aligned in the plan.
Albano is hopeful that the 2023-2028 Cagayan Valley Regional Development Plan will be put to fruition to benefit the people in the Cagayan Valley Region as he called on local leaders and key actors and players and all other sectors to support the crafted plan and its implementation to transform the Cagayan Valley a valley of possibilities to endless opportunity.
