Drug den in Lupon dismantled, 6 arrested

DAVAO ORIENTAL (PIA) - - Law enforcers dismantled a drug den and arrested six drug personalities in a buy bust operation in Barangay Ilangay, Lupon town, August 7.

Joint elements of Davao Oriental Provincial Office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office (PDEA) XI and Lupon Municipal Police Station arrested in the operation the drug den owner identified as Anthony Sialana alias John, 42 years old, for selling one sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as “shabu” worth P1,000.00 to an agent who acted as poseur buyer.

The other apprehended individuals were Jocelyn Sialana, drug den owner’s wife and cohort, and visitors - Ronilo Bastian, Rubin Ducusin, Cepard Olay and Michael Tutor.

Seized also were 10 sachets of suspected shabu in different sizes weighing around 12 grams with estimated value of P81,600.00, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust marked money.

Arrested individuals are now with the police for proper disposition and filing of cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MLU/PIA Davao Oriental/Photos from PDEA)
