Belison, Libertad towns conduct CBMS review

SAN JOSE, Antique -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Antique conducted the Municipal Data Review for the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Preliminary Tabulation results in Belison and Libertad towns.

PSA Antique Senior Statistical Specialist Jeffrey G. Conlu said in a press release, that the activity aimed to promote discussions on the results of the CBMS preliminary tabulations processed by the PSA.

Likewise, Belison Municipal Planning Officer Environmental Planner Beberly A. Española noted the significance of CBMS in identifying areas of concern specifically in the social, environmental, economic, health, infrastructure, security, and disaster risk management sector, among others.

She further stated that the CBMS is an essential tool in synchronizing data from households with that of the local government units including all levels of barangay, municipality, and province, also with the government agencies and private sector.

For the town of Libertad, Planning Officer Elizabeth P. Bendol said that the data review is essential to facilitate appropriate revisions in the preliminary tabulations processed by the PSA prior to the data turnover.


The Municipalities of Belison ang Libertad are the first batch of municipalities in Antique that piloted the CBMS implementation.

Meanwhile, PSA Supervising Statistical Specialist Rodme A. Febreo discussed the requirements for the turnover of data, data protection, and management with the local stakeholders.

The activity was participated in by the members of the CBMS Coordinating 

Board including personnel from the Municipal Planning and Development Office, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, Local Civil Registry Office, Public Employment and Services Office, Municipal Agriculture Office, Municipal Engineering Office, Municipal Health Office, Municipal Local Government Operations Office, Sangguniang Bayan Office, and staff from other relevant departments.  (AGP/PSM/PIA Antique with reports from PSA)
