QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – The city government of Valenzuela recently hosted a Mega Job Fair, presenting more than 3,000 local and overseas career opportunities among its residents who want to secure employment. 

The LGU-initiated fair was held in SM City Valenzuela last Tuesday, August 15, through the initiative of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO). 

The sum of 9 employers who participated in the fair was able to produce 6 new hires on the spot while 425 candidates were selected for further interviews after demonstrating potential qualifications.

During the fair, a pre-employment one-stop shop was made available alongside the recruiting companies to assist the job seekers in the completion of documentary requirements. 

This included the services of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Pag-IBIG Fund, and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

Meanwhile, the Valenzuela OFW Family Circle was also launched in the job fair.
