San Jose PNP bags Best MPS Award

SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) -- The San Jose Municipal Police Station (MPS) received the Best MPS award anew during the 122nd Police Service Anniversary held in Iloilo City recently.

In an interview, Acting Chief of Police Major Geremy Ian R. Magbanua commended the efforts of the men and women of San Jose MPS for doing their best to achieve the mission of the Station with the support of the Local Government Unit of San Jose, the stakeholders, and the people in general.

Magbanua further said that San Jose MPS has been taking home the award for Best MPS for three consecutive years at the regional level and were declared top three among the national finalists last year.

Mayor Elmer Untaran, in a separate interview, likewise commended the performance of San Jose PNP noting that his administration is fully supporting the endeavors of the station to ensure the maintenance of peace and order in Antique’s capital town.

The criteria for the said award cover the administrative and operational management of the station, which monitors the accomplishment reports from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.

Police General Benjamin C. Acorda Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), conferred the award to San Jose 

MPS and received by PMAJ Magbanua and Mayor Untaran.

PGen. Acorda served as guest of honor and speaker during the celebration of the 122nd Police Service Anniversary.

With this, Magbanua committed to sustain their efforts, true to its mission to enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety and internal security with the active support of the community.
