COMELEC MisOr gears up for upcoming BSKE

MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)--With just a few months left to prepare for the upcoming October 30 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), the Commission on Elections Misamis Oriental provincial office convened election officers from various municipalities and component cities along with representatives from different government agencies for a Provincial Coordination and Command Conference.

The strategic gathering aims to ensure the successful execution of BSKE 2023.

The conference delved into the distinct responsibilities of deputized law enforcement agencies and other government bodies. These collaborations are essential to guaranteeing elections that are free, orderly, honest, peaceful, and credible during the BSKE.

In addition, the commission reiterated the rules and regulations that will be enforced throughout the BSKE timeline. These include the implementation of checkpoints, gun bans, and liquor bans.

Meanwhile, PNP Misamis Oriental Provincial Chief Police Col. Cholijun Caduyac reassured the commission of their commitment to safeguard the election process and all participants involved.

"I have instructed my chief of police and all provincial mobile forces to enhance police visibility, with my primary goal being the optimal protection of our citizens. You can be confident that Misamis Oriental is committed to maintaining peace through our collaborative efforts with our partners in the AFP," Caduyac stated.

With various agencies actively participating in the preparations for the upcoming BSKE, COMELEC anticipates a peaceful and smooth election process.

They [COMELEC] also encourage the public to promptly report any violations committed by political candidates concerning the mandates and schedules that have been set. (JAKA/PIA10)
