QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) guaranteed a safe and secure learning environment for students during the opening of classes Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
NCRPO chief Police Brigadier General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr. said that the Metro Manila police force guarantees a safe and secure learning environment for all learners throughout the school year.
“We make sure that police officers are available and visible in or near the vicinity of our schools and campuses. A bunch of law enforcers from different units of NCRPO were already deployed to different learning institutions in the Metro to maintain peace and order in the Region,” said Nartatez.
More than 5,000 uniformed personnel from the five police districts of NCRPO were deployed in 1,262 schools, with 713 public institutions and 549 private schools. Moreover, a total of 668 Public Assistance Desks (PADS) were established and a total of 1,572 personnel were deployed in different PADS which will assist the public especially the students and their parents in the school premises.
Likewise, around 1,324 mobile patrollers and 1,436 police foot patrollers were designated in areas near schools that are in charge of area monitoring.
