PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan (PIA)--The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) highlighted its workforce and students in Palawan as it marked its 29th anniversary.
Provincial Director Gerardo Mercado said that the anniversary was simultaneously celebrated nationwide to not just give importance to external stakeholders but also to its employees and students under various programs.
Aside from the anniversary, TESDA also celebrated National Tech-Voc Day, which is in line with Republic Act No. 7796, or the TESDA Act of 1994, and RA 10970, which declare every 25th of August as National Tech-Voc Day.
"Magkakaroon ng wellness program para sa mga empleyado, para ma-release ang stress nila. Meron din mga Palarong Pinoy," he said.
Students from all TESDA operating units also showcased their talents in different competitions hosted inside the Puerto Princesa School of Arts and Trades (PPSAT).
Prior to the anniversary, TESDA hosted a World Café of Opportunities (WCO) to provide job opportunities to Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates in Palawan. (RPG/PIA Mimaropa-Palawan)
