Ifugao police unit opens ‘Libreng Gupit’ center

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) - - Indigent individuals can now have their  hair cut  for free  at the  “Libreng Gupit”   center  of the Second Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company(2nd IPMFC) at Viewpoint, Banaue.

 

The center has started serving walk-in clients after its  opening  on August 30, 2023 led by 2nd IPMFC Commanding Officer Police Lieutenant Colonel Samson Kimayong and Worshipful Master Pedrito S. Dela Cruz of the Ifugao Masonic Lodge No. 218.


The Libreng Gupit Center is an offshoot  of the company’s best practice dubbed as “Pulis ko, Barbero ko” being conducted by skilled police officers during community and  schools’ visitations.


This is   in partnership with the Ifugao Masonic Lodge No. 218  that provided razors and  budget for  the project.


Other activities conducted during the opening include an anti-bullying information drive,  and feeding to selected pupils of the Patilong Elementary School in Viewpoint. (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
