DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) — The Pag-IBIG Fund recognized the provincial government of Pangasinan anew as one of the top employers in the government sector in North Luzon for the first half of 2023.
Lawyer Marlon Operaña, provincial accountant, received the award on behalf of the provincial government during the Stakeholders' Accomplishment Report (StAR) held on August 30 at the Clark Marriott Hotel in Clark Freeport, Pampanga.
The agency regularly holds the Pag-IBIG Fund StAR to report its accomplishments to stakeholders in the countryside of its accomplishments and recognize them for their outstanding contributions and support in bringing services to Pag-IBIG members in the area.
The event also saw Pag-IBIG Fund and its stakeholders renew their pledge to integrity, in line with their shared effort to conduct all transactions with utmost professionalism and integrity towards achieving the highest tenets of public service.
The plaque of recognition awarded to the province stated that the provincial government of Pangasinan significantly contributed to Pag-IBIG Fund’s efforts of providing Filipino workers the benefit of its savings programs and access to affordable home financing.
In a statement, the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said, “The provincial government under the stewardship of Governor Ramon Guico III, on the other hand, assured Pag-IBIG Fund of its continuous assistance and support in the agency’s various programs.”
“Said award reflects the hard work of all government officials and employees from the highest down to the lowest rank contributing to the continued growth of the financial institution,” the PIO added.
It can be recalled that the provincial government was also conferred a StAR award for being a top government sector employer in North Luzon in 2022.
The award was then received by Special Assistant to the Governor and former Board Member Von Mark Mendoza in SMX Convention Center Clark in Pampanga on May 12, 2023. (JCR/AMB/PIA Pangasinan)
