30 students in Victoria undergo DTI Tarlac skills training

TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- About 30 senior high school students from various schools in Victoria, Tarlac benefited from the skills training of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The skills training on bread making, which was in partnership with the Local Youth Development Council, aims to provide young individuals with hands-on experience in baking and ignite their interest in entrepreneurship.

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo acknowledged the benefits of organizing training for the development of the youth.

“DTI is committed to empowering the youth through entrepreneurship because these do not only provide them with skills but also a sense of purpose,” Balilo said.

Resource Speaker Gerald Presiados, a trainer on food processing and an entrepreneur, shared the process of making plain pandesal, cheese pandesal, Spanish bread, and pan de coco.

The event is also in support of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2023 which bears the theme “Green Skills for Youth Towards a Sustainable World.”

DTI organizes livelihood training all over the province to increase the number of individuals engaged in micro, small, and medium enterprises. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
