BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - -  The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) conducted a free training on Cybersecurity Competency Network in this town to equip government agency workers with knowledge and skills to address cybersecurity concerns in their workplaces.

Johanna Tulauan, DICT provincial officer, said the 3-day training from September 5-7 at the Saber Inn in this town aims to ensure that businesses subject to government regulations actively participate in safeguarding the security of people, processes, data, applications and infrastructure in their digital business operations.

“By providing guidance aligned with the national cybersecurity plan, regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) and National Power Corporation (NPC) including similar agencies will be technically empowered to uphold information confidentiality, integrity and availability within interconnected business systems operating in the digital sphere,” she said.

Tulauan said the training’s target participants are key personnel from the government workforce who manage or support the enterprise or agency’s network, database and application systems.

Others also include individuals who manage the ICT services delivery support,  data protection officers  and information security officers. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
