QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- The City Government of Muntinlupa has distributed its Balik-Eskwela Package to more than 90,000 student-beneficiaries enrolled from kindergarten to Grade 12, as well as daycare pupils from Early Childhood Education Centers.

Students at Sucat Elementary School, Cupang Senior High School, Cupang Elementary School, Alabang Elementary School, Pedro E. Diaz High School, and Putatan Elementary School benefitted from the distribution led by Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon in partnership with the Schools Division Office – Muntinlupa.

Each free Balik Eskwela Package, consist of a school bag, a pair of leather shoes, eight notebooks, a case of pencils and sharpener for Kinder to Grade 3, and assorted ball pens for Grade 4 to Grade 12 students.

For daycare students, the package includes a school bag, two notebooks, two jumbo pencils, a pad paper, a box of crayons, and a water tumbler.

With the high cost of commodities, your City Government has set aside funds so we can help families provide for their children. This is our way to help offset the cost of school supplies especially for struggling families,” Mayor Biazon said in a speech.

We need to ensure the future of our children by making sure they are well-prepared for school today. These kits are part of our 7K Agenda, of Karunungan, as part of our emphasis on education. We are grateful to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for passing the fund for this project so we can help Muntinlupeños struggling with their budgets to finance their studies,” he added. (PIA-NCR)
