MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) is delighted with the appointment of another executive officer who would fervently supervise the ongoing restoration efforts in this city.
On September 2 this year, the Office of the President (OP) announced the designation of Felix Castro Jr. as the Presidential Assistant for Marawi Rehabilitation with the rank of assistant secretary (Asec).
Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Asec for TFBM Melissa Aradanas showed approval of this news.
She shared that they previously elucidated that Castro should not be terminated from serving the people here in the city, especially since he has already been striving and showing passion to finish the rehabilitation of the affected locality right after the five-month warfare in 2017.
“Inexplain namin sa Office of the President na hindi pwedeng wala si Asec. Felix Castro Jr. kasi siya na ang nandiyan from the very start,” said Aradanas.
(We explained to the Office of the President that it is not okay that Asec. Felix Castro Jr. will not be around because he was there from the very start.)
Following this, the DHSUD Asec for TFBM guaranteed that her office would remain supportive of the rehabilitation program implemented in the Islamic city.
“Rest assured that the DHSUD will still be with you. We would like to assure everyone na hindi mawawala ang TFBM (that the TFBM will not be dissolved),” said Aradanas. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
