Peros-Galam pleaded to the affected individuals under this order to cooperate with the Department of Agriculture (DA) as they are tasked to do a daily price monitoring in the various stalls in the town’s public market.
"Let us comply with this mandate of our President. We have to follow this order and expect a positive response from you," Peros-Galam said to the representatives of the rice industry.
A Bantay Presyo Task Force team for EO 39 from the DA, led by Team Leader Remedios Dela Rosa, recently convened rice retailers, traders, and millers to discuss the provisions of EO No. 39 along with MLGU officials headed by Mayor Peros-Galam, at the town’s gymnasium.
"We expect that you shall comply to the EO 39 signed by our president, Ferdinand E. Marcos, so we could help address the national issue [that is] now in the rice industry. We will be noting all your suggestions as our basis for recommendations, [which are] to be submitted in the national level," Dela Rosa said to the members of the rice industry.
