'LAB for All’ activities spread cheers in Negros Occ.

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL (PIA) – Local Government Units in the province held various community outreach activities on Sept. 13, under ‘Lingap at Alagang Bayanihan’ or ‘LAB for All’ coinciding with the 66th birthday of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

Close to 5,000 schoolchildren from the municipalities of Isabela, Las Castellana, and the cities of La Carlota, Talisay, Sipalay and Victorias were recipients of a feeding program.

The feeding program in the municipality of Isabela benefitted 80 marginalized residents from Brgys. Rumirang and Maytubig, while more than 2,000 preschool children were simultaneously fed in the municipality of La Castellana.

The city government of Victorias prepared meals for 300 4Ps beneficiaries and distributed 388 food packs in a program held at Acuna Yap Quina Arts Cultural Center.

In La Carlota City, some 150 senior citizens and women were recipients of a feeding activity held at Sitio Bucalan, Barangay RSB.

Sipalay City government held a tree-planting activity with more than 200 seedlings planted at the Local Conservation Area, Brgy. 5 participated in by government officials, national agencies, uniformed personnel, brgy. councils, people's organizations, and youth volunteers. This was followed by a feeding program for about 500 youths and children.

An estimated 2,000 residents in Talisay City took part in the feeding program held at the Talisay City Public Plaza, while a dental mission intended for 1,000 residents was also conducted as the city’s contribution to the ‘LAB for All’ program.

No less than Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares led the activities.


Meanwhile, volunteers in Bacolod City trooped to the beach to conduct a coastal clean-up activity at Purok Sibucao, Barangay Banago, and a dental mission was also held for 110 beneficiaries at Purok Akishola, Barangay Villamonte.

In the municipality of EB Magalona, Mayor Marvin Malacon, Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, and Sangguniang Bayan members, led the more than 500 officials and personnel of the town in the ‘Pinoy breakfast Boodle Fight’ at the Public Plaza around 8:00 am yesterday, September 13, to celebrate the birthday of President Marcos Jr.

Residents in the town of Moises Padilla held a tree planting at Brgy. Macagahay, where they planted more than 100 seedlings.

The Province of Negros Occ. conducted a caravan of services in the town of Don Salvador Benedicto. More than 1,000 residents from neighboring barangays availed of medical and dental benefits, feeding, circumcision, haircut, and other services.

Warm birthday greetings for the president flooded the Negros Occ. ‘LAB for All’ Facebook account.

Officials of the municipality of EB Magalona greeted the president with the message "Mula sa Bayan ng E. B. Magalona, maligayang kaarawan, mahal naming Pangulong Bongbong Marcos! Mabuhay ang Bagong Pilipinas!"
