TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- The provincial government of Tarlac recognized various Lupon Tagapamayapa demonstrating exemplary performance in their respective barangays.
Lupon Tagapamayapa is the body that comprises the barangay justice system including the barangay chairperson and its members.
During the 3rd Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council, Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council, and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, Governor Susan Yap congratulated the awardees for their service in their communities.
"It is our time to give back to the local chief executives and barangay officials that have done well in keeping their barangays peaceful. This is our way of recognizing all your hard work and dedication in assuring the security of our province,” Yap said.
Awardees received financial incentives amounting to P20,000 for first place; P15,000 for second place; and P10,000 for third place.
O’Donnell of Capas topped the 1st to 3rd Class Municipality Category followed by Sto. Rosario, also of Capas, in second place, and Camposanto 1 Norte of Moncada in third place.
Moreover, Poblacion Norte of San Clemente ranked number one in the 4th to 5th Class Municipality Category while San Juan of Anao ended second.
And lastly, San Carlos of Tarlac City was the lone winner in the City Category.
Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards aims to institutionalize a system of granting economic benefits and other incentives to the group that demonstrates exemplary performance in settling disputes at the barangay level. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
