17 farmers in Anao complete training on product development

TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- A total of 17 farmers in Anao completed the training and consultation on product development organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac and the municipal government.

The participants belong to various farmers associations.

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo explained that the training seeks to assist farmers in elevating the overall quality of their products to be at par with the standards and trends in the market.

“Marketing is an essential aspect of business operation and we want to expand our participants’ grasp in that area. With this seminar, they will be updated on the trends in the market as well as level up their products and become more competitive through improved packaging,” Balilo stated.

During the seminar, resource speaker Jerikko Cabalo talked about product labeling concepts, labeling and fair packaging, and the importance of labeling.

Participants were then given an opportunity to a one-on-one product development consultation.

DTI provides seminars to various sectors, including farmers, to encourage more Tarlaqueños to start their business journey, generate employment, and boost the local economy of the province. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
