PBBM leads rice distribution to 4Ps families in Tungawan

TUNGAWAN, Zamboanga Sibugay (PIA) - In a heartwarming display of compassion and leadership, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. made his presence felt in Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay, as he spearheaded a rice distribution initiative aimed at supporting the 4Ps family-beneficiaries in the area.

Tungawan, a municipality known for its pristine beaches and resilient people, has faced its share of challenges, particularly during these trying times. PBBM’s visit to Tungawan underscored his dedication to ensuring that these families receive the support they require during these challenging times.

In his address, PBBM emphasized the critical need for an ample food supply to support our fellow citizens, underlining the importance of fortifying our agricultural system. Additionally, he highlighted the necessity of reinforcing existing laws to ensure an adequate rice supply within the country.

Governor Ann K. Hofer was present to welcome the president. In her speech, the governor said that “this rice distribution program of His Excellency would certainly help ease the burden of putting food on the table for the underprivileged Tungaweños.”

Tungawan Municipal Mayor Carlnan Climaco extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to PBBM in his hometown, expressing that the pople "are immensely pleased that the President has visited and that it has left a deep impact on our community."

The rice distribution event was a beacon of hope for the 4Ps families in the region.

“I am very thankful to PBBM and Gov. Ann Hofer that the poor here in Zamboanga Sibugay were included in the program and assistance of the government,” Kristina Bulawin Pintikasi, one of the beneficiaries said.
