LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte (PIA) – The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is set to be launched on September 23-24 at the Mariano Marcos State University Laoag Campus.
With an aim to bring the government closer to the Ilokanos, about 40 national government agencies will convene for a two-day caravan and provision of basic services.
These services include application for the Pambansang Pabahay of the President by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), awarding of livelihood kits under the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa Program from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for local entrepreneurs affected by Typhoon Egay, Passport on Wheels by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), distribution of OFW reintegration benefits by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), among others.
“Mula sa nationl government, ibababa nila dito ang iba’t ibang serbisyo ng gobyerno sa Ilocos Norte para lalong maramdaman ng mamamayan. Simultaneous tayo sa tatlo pang probinsya kaya malaking ganap ito nationwide,” said Ryan Remigio from the Office of First District Representative Sandro Marcos, in an interview.
The said provinces are Davao de Oro, Leyte, and Camarines Sur.
Moreover, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region I will be rolling out its free transportation service for the beneficiaries in going to the venue in Laoag City.
Pick up points are in the town halls of Burgos, Batac City, Bacarra Public Market, and around Laoag City.
As of this writing, a total of 30,474 beneficiaries are already registered in the said caravan.
