QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is encouraging the public to report premature or early campaigning, as well as illegal campaign materials.
The commission has recently launched the ‘Anti-Epal Task Force’ that will be responsible for coordination with COMELEC field offices, including directing the removal of all election paraphernalia prematurely posted by candidates and issuing corresponding show cause orders.
COMELEC Chairperson George Garcia earlier said that the task force will also be given the power to motu proprio file complaints for disqualification and election offenses.
