“This is a welcome development that will help accelerate the country’s digital transformation,” said Secretary Frederick Go, Presidential Adviser for Investments and Economic Affairs.

Once approved the implementing rules for EO 32 by technical working group members this will go into effect by the end of September or early October.
EO 32 will help the country not to fall behind in a rapidly changing world; thus the main objective of the new order is to guarantee the Philippines’ digital infrastructure continues to develop in order to provide better services to the people.
“Digitalization is the call of today; not the call of the future—but of the present. It is here. It is needed, and it is needed today” said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., quoted by Perez.
Digitalization is transforming the world and has become a vital part of today's society. It has a significant impact on the country's social, economic, and political environment.
With digital transformation, the Philippines can improve efficiency and governance, promote economic development, and expand access to information and services. (Sophia Marie G. Navalta/PIA-NCR Trainee)
