PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan (PIA) -- The City Assessor’s Office bagged this year’s championship of the 2023 Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron City Government of Puerto Princesa (CGPP) Basketball Inter-Office Tournament, which aims to boost physical activities and sportsmanship among employees.

Around 30 teams from various departments of the city government competed in the second year of the tournament. This year’s champion, the City Assessor’s Office, won a P70,000 cash prize and plaque, represented by its team leader, Engr. Joven C.V. Baluyut.

The Most Valuable Player, Marco Polo Bartolay, was also recognized with the cash prize. The first runner-up and second runner-up teams, CMO Bayanihan and CMO Knights, also won cash prizes amounting to P30,000 and P20,000, respectively.

The awards were given during the celebration of the city government’s civil service month. City Mayor Lucilo Bayron recognized the effort of its human resources office in having various activities for the employees.

“I-congratulate muna natin HR natin, buong opisina. Sa buong Palawan ata, [ang] pinakasamayang LGU ay sa city government of Puerto Princesa dahil sa activities natin ngayong Civil Service Month,” he said. (RG/PIA Mimaropa - Palawan)
