“We are committed to the strict enforcement of the Kontra-Bigay. We want to make it clear that any violations will be dealt with accordingly under my watch,” Atty. John Paul Cubero, Provincial Election Supervisor, warned the public.

The ‘Kontra-Bigay’ initiative adopts a whole-of-nation approach by enforcing policies and guidelines to curb vote-buying and vote-selling. To address these issues, the commission collaborated with various agencies, including PIA Zamboanga Sibugay, as a key partner.

PIA Zamboanga Sibugay, meanwhile, affirmed its steadfast dedication to this endeavor by disseminating accurate information to the public.

Partner agencies pledged their commitment to support COMELEC initiatives for BSKE 2023.

During the conference, COMELEC Zamboanga Sibugay brought together various stakeholders, emphasizing its dedication to preserving the integrity of the electoral process. Additionally, the event facilitated discussions to strategize and guarantee a peaceful and honest BSKE 2023 within the province.

The conference also shed light on the ongoing efforts and arrangements to uphold peace and order during the forthcoming BSKE 2023.

PCOL Eduard P. Mallo, the Provincial Director of PNP Zamboanga Sibugay, reassured everyone that they are making efforts for a peaceful election and mitigating any concerns.

The conference received a favorable response from different groups, taking part in discussions about making sure elections are safe and campaigns run fairly. This is part of COMELEC Zamboanga Sibugay's efforts to ensure a generally peaceful election and establish a fair system. (KSA/RVC/RBI/PIA9-Zamboanga Sibugay)
