CDA urges Central Luzon coops to join Coop Month celeb

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) -- Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) is encouraging cooperatives in Central Luzon to join the celebration of the Cooperative Month.

The highlight of the regional celebration is the conduct of the KOOPlympics that will unite participants from the cooperative sector across the seven provinces in the region at the City of San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan on October 12.

CDA Regional Director Marieta Hwang underscored that the event will serve as a platform for all cooperatives to connect to each other and share their best practices.

“This is the 10th year in Region 3. This aims to gather cooperatives in the region to foster collaboration and so that they will help each other. This is also a chance for them to get to know each other after not meeting for a long time,” she added.

With the theme 2023 Kooplympiada: Isang Dekadang Pagkakaisa at Saya, activities during the regional Olympics will center on health and wellness.

On the other hand, Hwang highlighted that they have prepared other activities for the month-long celebration to share and introduce the good benefits received by the cooperatives.

Among these is the Mastering MS Excel: A Comprehensive Lecture Series for Cooperative on October 18-20; Business Continuity Management Training on October 25; and Electronic Cooperative Cliniquing Program on October 26; and the Promoting Inclusivity and Equality: Gender Sensitivity Training on October 27.

Those interested to participate may visit CDA’s Facebook page at CDA Region III Extension Office for further details.
