OVP Isabela satellite office leads bamboo propagules planting in San Pablo town

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - Employees from the Office of the Vice President Isabela satellite office led recently a bamboo propagule planting at Annamunan in San Pablo this province.

OVP Isabela Satellite Office head Maria Laiza Frogoso - Pamittan said the activity is part of Vice President Sara Duterte's commitment to plant one million seedlings nationwide dubbed as The PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees Project.

Pamittan said that under OVP’s initiative, approximately 20,000 seedlings will be planted each year in the region until 2028.

The bamboo propagule planting was participated by local officials and employees of LGU San Pablo led by Mayor Antonio Miro Jr, employees from national government agencies and uniformed personnel and barangay residents of Annamunan.

Pamittan said that within the framework of the PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees Project, the tree planting initiative is in harmony with VP Duterte's dedication to environmental preservation, education, and responsible family planning.

She said the project will not only contribute to a healthier environment but also underscores the significance of education and family planning in promoting community well-being. (MGE / PIA Isabela)
