CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) -- A total of 169 micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) across the region will showcase their product in the upcoming 25th Likha ng Central Luzon (LCL) Trade Fair.

With the theme “Supporting Market-Ready Entrepreneurs for 25 Years”, this year’s fair promises to be a beacon of innovation, resilience, and growth for MSMEs in the region as it celebrates a remarkable milestone in Central Luzon’s rich history of entrepreneurship and regional development.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) OIC-Regional Director Brigida Pili said the 25th run of the fair represents a quarter-century of supporting and nurturing local businesses, fostering regional economic growth, and celebrating the indomitable spirit of Central Luzon's entrepreneurs.

It serves as a testament to the region's commitment to consumer welfare, responsible business conduct, and exceptional customer service.

She added that the fair serves as a good venue to create business opportunities and expand networks for Central Luzon MSMEs.

“Throughout the years, this annual regional trade promotion activity has been a catalyst for economic growth, entrepreneurial empowerment, and the promotion of Central Luzon's cultural diversity. Our goal is to attract not only local consumers but also institutional buyers and if possible, connect our MSMEs with exporters,” the director cited.

Participating MSMEs will showcase their products promoting their provincial branding namely Siempre Aurora; Galing Bataan; Tatak Bulakenyo; Taas Noo Novo Ecijano; Love Pampanga; Natural Tarlac; and Zambales Finest.

Among the products that will be exhibited include food items such as processed food, condiments, sweets and delicacies, coffee, fruit juices, healthy drinks, cacao-based products; mushroom products; and milk products.

Non-food items like furniture, woodcraft and home furnishings; lanterns, Capiz lamps, Christmas decorations; bamboo based products; garments and outdoor gear; wearables (fashion accessories, bags, footwear); gifts and holiday decors; bags, wallets and novelty items; organic and cosmetic products; shoes and sandals; jewelry, gems and crystals; leather goods; and sabutan products will also be available during the trade fair.

LCL will take place on October 25 to 29, 2023, at the Megatrade Hall 2, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.  It is the culminating activity of industry and trade related programs of DTI given to entrepreneurs in the region.

The trade fair is in partnership with PhilExport Region 3; and is supported by the Regional Development Council 3 and the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc.

Prior to the fair, DTI also conducted capability building seminars to help MSMEs develop their technical capabilities to become exporters; as well as product development activities to help them develop new products and designs to be showcased during the fair. (CLJD/MJSC-PIA 3)
