BALER, Aurora (PIA) -- Department of Science and Technology (DOST) provided Interactive Multimedia Teaching Aids (IMTA) to a coastal school in San Luis, Aurora.
Dikapinisan National High School received P257,600 worth of IMTA under the agency’s Grants-In-Aid Program.
DOST Aurora Science Research Specialist Arian Espiritu said the grant aims to improve the learning process of Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged schools by providing access to more advanced knowledge that is not readily accessible due to lack of internet in teaching.
“DNHS got a 40 inch full HD Led TV, router, and an all-in-one micro server desktop with software and learning management system, multi audio visual and interactive material and simulation tools for math & sciences,” Espiritu furthered.
The initiative to raise students' general weighted averages by at least five percent; boost the number of students enrolled in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics strand, and foster enthusiasm for math and science.
It is the 15th IMTA project awarded in the entire province of Aurora. (CLJD/MAT-PIA 3)
