The partnership endeavor was agreed during the recent visit of newly installed OIC DTI Isabela Provincial Director Ramil Garcia, who met with the local chief executive.
They visited the existing corn silage and dairy processing facility in the city and agreed to further enhance the program.
Garcia said the objective of DTI-Isabela’s visit to the city’s facilities was to identify technical interventions that could optimize efficiency and streamline operations in the said sectors once it is operational.
City of Ilagan Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz said the immense potential that Ilagan City holds in the corn silage and the dairy industries aims to reinvigorate the motivation and enthusiasm of both the DTI and local government.
“These established facilities represent a significant portion of the entire corn and dairy industries' value chain, strategically designed to minimize costs, reduce external dependency, and generate employment and income opportunities, particularly for local farmers,” Diaz said.
