DTI Isabela Information Officer Mel Mari Laciste said the journey of these remarkable weaves from Isabela to VEGAS FAB began with a social media post by DTI Region 02 Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, who proudly donned Isabela's local weaves during the 17th Padday na Lima Trade Fair's opening program in Alabang, Muntinlupa City recently.
Laciste said that after the Padday Na Lima Trade Fair and post of DTI Regional Director Pulido, caught the eyes of VEGAS FAB coordinator and Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Nevada President Joel Enriquez and his wife Olive Enriquez.
Laciste said the couple was captivated by the beauty and intricacy of the weaves that made the FACC of Greater Nevada connected to him and facilitated a presentation of the unique product lines of both enterprises.
He said that after his presentation to the couple, he coordinated the sale and delivery of the selected pieces to the United States in preparation for their grand debut at VEGAS FAB.
He said that Enriquez expressed his enthusiasm that the Filipino community in Las Vegas will be thrilled to witness these carefully chosen pieces, aligning with VEGAS FAB's mission to promote Filipino culture and heritage.
