Nagkadaiyang produkto ug imbensyon, bida sa RSTW 2023 sa Iligan City

LIGAN CITY (PIA)--Gipahigayon sa Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-10 ang Regional Science and Technology Week Mindanao State University (MSU)-Iligan Institute of Technology.

Naghatag kini og dynamic platform alang sa pagkat-on ug kolaborasyon pinaagi sa pitching sessions, innovation dialogues, quiz competitions, forum, technology demonstrations, ug exhibits.

“These technologies shall be utilized by our communities, cities, stakeholders, therefore resulting in improved socio-economic status. Dapat magamit natin ang mga resulta at natuklasan ng siyensya, higit sa lahat magamit ito upang masolusyunan ang mga problemang dama ng mga ordinaryong Pilipino,” sumala ni DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations Engr. Sancho Mabborang.

Samtang, gipadayag ni Iligan City Mayor Frederick Siao ang importansya sa siyensya, teknolohiya, ug inobasyon.

"May we all continue to be steadfast partners in forging a flourishing and resilient future through science, technology, and innovation,” sumala niya.

Gipakita sa 25 mga exhibitor ang ilang DOST-assisted projects nga makatabang sa mga lokal nga negosyante, komunidad, ug disaster resilience.

Apil sa mga exhibitor ang Philippine Textile Research Institute diin gibida nila ang silk production sa Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.

"Mapasalamaton kaayo mi nga giinvite mi sa DOST. Kani ang way para mapahatod nato sa farmers or individuals, interested potential partners nga atong masulong ang SEDA Pilipinas brand,” sumala ni Paula Fe Castillon, project technical aide at DOST Philippine Textile Research Institute.

Samtang, gibida sab sa MSU-Naawan campus ang ilang mga proyekto sama sa sea cucumber cultivation.

"I think DOST should continue doing more for like this where different stakeholders, academe, community, and scientists are brought together to discuss matters na nagenerate (that were generated). It is only through effective exchange of information that we are able to promote an ecosystem focused towards growth,” matod ni Kaent Immanuel Uba, associate professor sa Fisheries Department sa MSU-Naawan.
