SAGAY, Camiguin (PIA)--Marking its first anniversary with a day filled with celebratory activities, the Camiguin Water Company (CWC) expressed gratitude for the milestone it has achieved in the province, October 25.
For the past year, CWC has been serving four out of five municipalities in the province, has already invested P60 million, and envisions spending around P1 billion. Furthermore, their operational milestones include the implementation of the read and bill system, the territory officer program, a Facebook page for customer service announcements, and recently, an online payment facility to provide convenience to their clients.
Their anniversary celebration commenced with a holy mass, a solemn occasion for reflection and thanksgiving. The company also embraced a day of fun, joy, and appreciation through an anniversary thanksgiving raffle and an engaging vlog-making contest.
CWC General Manager, Jonathan Sarsonas, took the opportunity to express his appreciation for the journey and growth of the organization. He shared heartfelt words during the celebration.
"Pagkadating ko dito, especially nu’ng April, nag-start ako without anything na alam ko ‘yung sitwasyon, ganu’n, pero eventually, naka-adapt naman ako. So, maraming salamat sa teammates natin, sa board andiyan kayo para tumulong sa amin [When I came here, especially in April, I started without knowing anything about the situation, but eventually, I should have been able to adapt. So, thank you very much to our teammates; to the board, you are there to help us]," Sarsonas said.
He also emphasized the core values that he wants the team to imbibe, namely, commitment, passion, and teamwork.
"Lahat naman nagiging slashers lahat, pero 'yung mga stretch assignments, nagagawa natin. Maganda ‘yung ganu’n para ready siya for stepping up [Everyone becomes 'slashers'; it's like the stretch assignments, but we can still do them. It's actually good, so we become ready for stepping up]," Sarsonas said.
He recognized the combined efforts that have led to a year of growth and achievements, encouraging everyone to continue their hard work and innovation.
The celebration also featured the exciting "CWC Anniversary Thanksgiving Raffle," where numerous prizes were up for grabs. Participants won fantastic rewards, including a washing machine, air fryer, rice cooker, and rechargeable fans, along with 30 umbrellas for additional winners.
The terms and conditions for the raffle included specific rules to ensure fairness and transparency. The raffle drew participation from all CWC customers who paid their bills between October 1-15, 2023.
Additionally, CWC organized a "Water Conservation Vlog Contest" to promote environmental responsibility and water conservation. Residents were invited to submit creative videos that highlighted the importance of conserving water, and participants had the chance to win generous prizes.
