CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) --General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and VAdm Gaudencio Collado Jr (Ret), Chief Executive Officer and President of the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loans Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI), on Wednesday, (Oct. 25) led the groundbreaking ceremony and signing of the memorandum of agreement for the modular transient facility project in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

The project, consisting of one cluster of living spaces, is part of AFPSLAI’s corporate social responsibility program and seeks to provide quality temporary accommodation to AFP personnel visiting Camp Aguinaldo.

In his message, the CSAFP expressed his gratitude to AFPSLAI for answering the need for additional quarters and overall welfare of AFP personnel. He also credited the former CSAFP, General Andres Centino, for advocated for the said project.

“I am very thankful to the leadership of AFPSLAI and recognize the effort of former CSAFP, General Andres Centino, who pushed for this project. He is a staunch believer in the duty of the AFP to provide quality housing for our personnel,” General Brawner said.

“I welcome this new collaboration between the AFP and AFPSLAI and express my appreciation of your relentless efforts towards continuous improvement,” the CSAFP added. (afp/pia-ncr)
